Software Patents
Since I believe that software developers and users would be better off
if patents were not allowed on software or algorithms,
I do not hold any such patents,
nor do I intend to apply for any.
I am happy to have helped to shoot down some patents
by virtue of having prior
publications in the appropriate area
(e.g. data compression).
